Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993, and the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name has been recognized for her pioneering work in studying eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in the legal setting. Prof. Goodman has published extensively she has received grants from numerous sources and received many international and national prizes. She has provided advice on policy and research to many agencies and departments from all over the world. She currently serves as advisor to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a part of several professional organizations, such as The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been the president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division, American Psychological Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
